Coming up with new date ideas can be challenging but look no further! “The Chocolate Date” Diva has a few up her sleeves to help make your date fun and schweeet.

In the last article “How to Set Up a Romantic Outdoor Chocolate Date Part 1“, we talked about setting up the environment, ambiance and of course food and chocolate for love and romance.

In Part 2, we will finish the rest of the steps and tips to set yourself up for a successful date.

Let’s continue!

5. Flowers add to the romantic setting. If you can work it, get a small bouquet to add some color and beauty. Brownie points – bring your Chocolate Date’s favorite flowers.

6. Here are a few ideas on things you can do during your time together:

– read a book together
– cite poetry to each other
– set up a chocolate treasure/scavenger hunt
– dance to the music playing in the background
– give your sweetie a relaxing head and shoulder massage
– play board games like Hot Chocolates! Romance Game Set or Chocolate-Opoly
– give each other Hersey chocolate kisses.

– Table Top Topics is a collection of conversation starters meant to spark fun, interesting, and meaningful discussions and come in a variety of topics and packages like the Couples edition, What Would You Do?, Dating Edition and Pillow Talk.

Here are sample questions for Dating Edition:

– what’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen

Sample Questions for Pillow Talk:

– What would you like to find under your pillow?
– What code name would you choose for me?
– If you had my complete attention for four hours, what would you want to do?

7. As the night falls and it’s time to bring out the lights. Lanterns, candles and strings of lights add a romantic glow. String of lights and lanterns are perfect for hanging on trees. Or use the string of lights to create a small canopy. You can find battery powered ones if you are not close to a power source. Tea light candles can be easily placed in glass jars or in brown bags with sand. Remember to bring the matches.

Another alternative are battery run lanterns and candles so you don’t have to worry about the mess of melted wax or creating a fire. Be sure to pack a couple of fresh batteries just in case.

Citronella candles not only add light and a lemony scent it also prevents the mosquitos getting the best of us especially at dusk. Don’t let the little buggers ruin your evening.

These candles are available as tiki torches, small bowls or pots. Find a size that works best for your date.

©The Chocolate Date | Fairies In a Jar

– Extra brownie points – here’s a fun thing you can have to add some sparkle to the evening: Fairies in the jar thanks to http://www.vippins.com/how-to-make-fairies-in-a-jar website for the post.

Directions:

1. Cut a glow stick (of any colour) and shake the contents into a jar. Add diamond glitter
2. Seal the top with a lid.
3. Shake.
Or you can glow paint instead of glow stick which I’ve read lasts longer according to
http://weheartit.com.

Just in case… cause life is unpredictable at times.

8. Flashlights to help you walk back, if applicable. A must have when dating outdoors that lead into the evening. This will help lead you and your sweetie back to the car or home safely in the dark. Be sure to pack along a couple of fresh batteries.

9. For the unexpected liquid sunshine bring a umbrella or two. Nobody likes to get wet unless you want to do some dancing in the rain. 🙂

These are just a few ideas to get you going. The focus is simple yet romantic. If you would like to kick it up a notch, you can decorate the environment to make it more festive or personalize it with party décor.

Of course, please do what is convenient for your needs as it is important that both of you have a great time.

This is one rendezvous you will want to do it again and again! Take advantage of great spring and summer weather we will have for the next several months.
